How do I join Nutrition Entrepreneurs?

The quickest way to join NE is by calling the Academy (800) 877-1600 ext. 5000 and joining by credit card or join online. The membership year runs from June 1 through May 31. Academy accepts payment for the current year through the end of January. Once you have joined, you will have access to the Members section of the NE website and access to all member benefits, including free CPEs via our monthly webinars, our Ventures newsletter, advertising opportunities, discounted meetings, and networking with specialty group members.

How much does it cost to join Nutrition Entrepreneurs?

Annual membership dues are $40, Students $15, Retired $20. Member benefits include:

Do I have to be a member of Academy to join Nutrition Entrepreneurs?

Yes, in order to become a member of NE, you must first be a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Does Nutrition Entrepreneurs offer any scholarships?

NE offers its annual NE Awards, which is a $1500 recognition of an outstanding NE member and Outstanding Student Award, which provides funds for one student to attend FNCE each year. NE also offers a scholarship to attend its annual Spring Summit.

Do you have workshops?

Yes, we offer a virtual Annual Spring Summit. In addition, we offer a variety of ways to obtain continuing education credits including webinars and networking at mini meetings, completing CPE requirements for articles found in Ventures, and opportunities to meet and learn from your NE colleagues at the annual FNCE® meetings.

Job Postings for Dietitians & Dietetic Technicians?

As a member of the Nutrition Entrepreneurs DPG, you can check out job postings posted in the Academy Job Board. This is the official job board of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Academy members can utilize this service to browse open positions in the profession, post a resume, target job searches by specialty or geographic location, respond directly to employer job listings, receive newsletters, and email alerts about new positions – all for free. The Academy also offers discounted job posting rates for Academy members who are recruiting for open positions. Employers can search resumes and review statistics on a particular job post’s summary views, click thru, and online responses. You can access Eat Right Careers from the Academy’s online Career Center.

How do I become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)?

Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) are food and nutrition experts who have met the following criteria to earn the RDN credential:

  • Completed a minimum of a bachelor’s degree at a US regionally accredited university or college and course work accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Completed an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program at a health-care facility, community agency, or a foodservice corporation or combined with undergraduate or graduate studies. Typically, a practice program will run six to 12 months in length.
  • Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). For more information regarding the examination, refer to CDR’s website.
  • Completed continuing professional educational requirements to maintain registration.
