Give Thanks
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. It’s non-denominational, and the whole idea is to take stock in what we have and be thankful for it.
November is also a great time to get ahead of the holiday rush and send “Thankful” cards. I prefer these to holiday cards, especially for clients or colleagues who have helped me over the past year. They’re less likely to get lost in the pile of holiday cards (or inbox of Paperless Post greetings). Besides, I can’t imagine anyone who doesn’t like to receive a note in the mail saying thank you or simply, hello.
If you recently attended FNCE, be sure to send thank-you notes to everyone you met with. It’s a good way to keep your connections fresh and to foster future collaborations or relationships. Email notes are faster, but handwritten notes seem more special, given the extra time it takes to write, address and mail the card. Whatever format works best for you, the important thing is to *_do it!_*
