Medicare’s Quality program: Through the RDN lens
Recorded Thursday, April 13, 2017
This webinar will inform members of the NE DPG about Medicare’s new Quality Payment Program (QPP). Signed into law in April 2015, the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) combined various quality and reporting programs (including PQRS) into one program- the Quality Payment Program (QPP). Under the QPP, payments for Medicare Part B services are shifted away from fee-for-service to pay-for-performance. Effective January 1, 2017, RDNs no longer are required to report under PQRS, however enterprising RDNs can learn now how they fit into the QPP and even elect to voluntarily report outcomes in 2017 to become familiar with the QPP reporting system as it is estimated that RDNs may become Eligible Clinicians (ECs) as soon as 2019. Presented by Livleen Gill, MBA, RD, LDN.
