Job Postings for Dietitians & Dietetic Technicians?

Eat Right Careers is the official job board of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Academy members can utilize this service to browse open positions in the profession, post a resume, target job searches by specialty or geographic location, respond directly to employer job listings, receive newsletters, and email alerts about new positions – all for free.

The Academy also offers discounted job posting rates for Academy members who are recruiting for open positions. Employers can search resumes and review statistics on a particular job post's summary views, click thru, and online responses.

EatRightCareers delivers an average of 8,000 monthly visits from job seekers, over 150 new monthly candidates registrations to the site, and between three and five average applications per job. In addition, approximately 100 new jobs are posted to the site by employers every month.

What can Dietetic Practice Groups (DPG) do as far as posting jobs?

  1. Register for an "Employer" account and receive discounted pricing for a 30-day job posting ($395 for non-members / $200 for members).
  2. Provide a link to the Academy Eat Right Careers on the DPG website.
  3. Post EatRightCareers advertisements designed by the Academy in newsletters.
  4. Post on the DPG electronic mailing list (EML) that a job has been posted on EatRightCareers, providing location and employer without the specifics of the job.

How do I join Nutrition Entrepreneurs?

The quickest way to join NE is by calling the Academy (800) 877-1600 ext. 5000 and joining by credit card or join online. The membership year runs from June 1 through May 31. Academy accepts payment for the current year through the end of January. Once you have joined, you will have access to the Members section of the NE website and access to all member benefits, including free CEUs via our monthly webinars, our Ventures newsletter, advertising opportunities, discounted meetings, and networking with specialty group members.

How much does it cost to join Nutrition Entrepreneurs?

Annual membership dues are $35: Students $15. Member benefits include:

How do I join the specialty groups?

NE has seven specialty groups. Membership to the groups is included in your annual NE dues. To join the specialty groups and take advantage of their specialized information, join the EML for that group. Information on how to subscribe is posted in the Members section of the website.

Do I have to be a member of Academy to join Nutrition Entrepreneurs?

Yes, in order to become a member of NE, you must first be a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Does Nutrition Entrepreneurs offer any scholarships?

NE does not provide scholarships. What we do offer is our annual NE Award, which is a $1000 award in recognition of an outstanding NE member and our Professional Development Dietetic Student Award, which provides funds for one student to attend FNCE each year. The applications are in the Members section of the website.

Do you have workshops?

Yes, we offer occasional workshops. In addition, we offer a variety of ways to obtain continuing education credits including webinars and teleclasses, networking at mini meetings, completing CEU requirements for articles found in Ventures, and opportunities to meet and learn from your NE colleagues at the annual FNCE® meetings.

How do I become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)?

Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) are food and nutrition experts who have met the following criteria to earn the RDN credential:

  • Completed a minimum of a bachelor’s degree at a US regionally accredited university or college and course work accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Completed an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program at a health-care facility, community agency, or a foodservice corporation or combined with undergraduate or graduate studies. Typically, a practice program will run six to 12 months in length.
  • Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). For more information regarding the examination, refer to CDR’s website.
  • Completed continuing professional educational requirements to maintain registration.
