Megan Boitano brings more than 15 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian in diverse patient populations and care settings to her practice.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from Washington State University in 2001, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the Honors College and was awarded the prestigious Family and Consumer Scientist of the Year at graduation.  Megan was accepted into the highly competitive dietetic internship program at the University of Michigan Hospitals where she was offered a staff position after program completion.  During her tenure at Michigan, Megan worked at Mott Children's Hospital and specialized in nutrition support for pediatric oncology and stem cell transplantation.  Megan earned her Master of Science from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2006 and published her thesis in a peer-reviewed journal.  She then relocated to San Diego and joined Scripps Health, a nationally recognized healthcare system and led the clinical nutrition team at Scripps La Jolla Hospital, a large trauma center.  In this leadership role, Megan published numerous papers and gave professional presentations.  To allocate more time to her family, Megan returned to a direct patient care position within Scripps in 2014 and also accepted a newly formed registered dietitian role within the pediatric hospice program.  She built the role and earned accolades from her team members.  After relocating to Newton in 2016, Megan combined her clinical expertise, management skills and passion for personalized care into a private practice.
